POOR NATIONAL IMAGE

Countries with high levels of corruption and related vices have their national images tainted in the eyes of the international community. This has negative consequences on diplomatic and economic relations, which these overtly corrupt countries may seek to pursue with other countries. Some citizens of countries perceived to be overtly corrupt are refused entry visas to other countries at the slightest excuse thereby frustrating legitimate aspirations of their innocent citizens.
